The history of Playgrounds, and Will Donkey's role in it, is well-documented in the A.A.P.C. archives. There is some question as to whether it was ever used to wrap fish, however, "fish wrap" is also slang for a worthless publication.
We guess it could have been used to start fires in the worst sections of Shitholeville (which is the entire city). It also could have lined the cardboard shelters of the homeless. Mildred used to have a collection of Playgrounds publications, but she used most of them to housetrain her new lovers.
When Will Donkey found out, he was furious, and promptly had her shipped off to a homeless shelter.
Well, sort of--he put an ad in Playgrounds, trying to rehome her (charging a small rehoming fee). The only people who answered the ad were dogfighting promoters. Mildred was game but deemed too old to attract many spectators. She always thought that could have been her entry into the big time. She coulda been a contender.
Down at the pound, the dogs all had a special nickname for Mildred: "My b**ch."
Mildred never learned to properly crap in a hole--she would do her business on neighbors' front lawns.
Although she made sure Will was always waiting with a Donkey-bag.
No, that would have been if their subdivision had an HOA. Have you looked at pictures of Will Donkey's neighborhood? An elephant could have taken up residence and crapped on all the sidewalks, and no one would have been able to do anything about it. Mildred just let it fly.
