This bit of folklore is, unfortunately, entirely grounded on fact:

A recent rumor, which seems destined to become part of the folklore
is that Will used to don blackface during his "Negrohood" period.
To date, no photos have been found to support this tale.
Will is also known to be friends with a man named Carruthers, a
Confederate flag waving redneck who lives in a trailer and posts
racist sayings and images on his Facebook page. He is believed to
be a card-carrying member of the KKK.
