    Based on the information PJR disclosed about himself, the description is pretty darned accurate.

    Folklore is generally based upon a real person or event. In PJR's case, it's based entirely upon the information that he supplied.

    One supposes it possible that PJR could be a fictional persona for some computer nerd living in Kalamazoo, but there is certainly no reason to suspect such were the case.

    And even if PJR is a fictional persona, the folklore is based upon the persona, not on the man who created it.

    I personally believe that PJR is exactly who he said he is.

    The Donkey frequently stuffed toilet paper up his nose when he was in that position, in order to be useful to PJR.

    Will Donkey has always realized that PJR was one of his betters.

    He still speaks of PJR with a hint of reverence in his voice.

    Reverence and fear, with a hint of Charmin'.

    The Donkey is always trying to bring PJR back, because he knows that I prefer conversing with PJR to him. When PJR is posting there's a good chance that he and I will be discussing literary topics (like the birth of written language in relation to Homeric Greece), and that the Donkey's much-spanked ass will get a much-needed break.

    The Donkey is also said to have a thing for men in kilts.

    PJR was such a towering figure in the annals of A.A.P.C. folklore, that someone tried to cash in on his popularity by offering a Chia Pete. The enterprise proved to be a failure, although it did outsell both the Chia Donkey and the Chia Dunce.

    We can't see why those weren't a big success, although it looks like Chia Pete is growing bean sprouts out of his massively-inflated head.

    Chia Pete had a habit of pissing people off by pretending that he was their "better," while reciting nonsensical poems like:

    Oops ama has'sum spee'n poo poo imi didee;
    oops ama has'sum stinki phew.

    Klap trap. Klap trap. Klap trap Haddock and docks
    the cold unspeaking stars walk shoddy-sleeved
    And you watched me as a deep blue slug,
    Phew phoohey! Pew pheweew||oey ding dong sore.

    Oops ama has'sum spee'n poo poo imi didee;
    oops ama has'sum stinki phew.
