• [NEWS] Everything Apple Announced Today

From Your Name@21:1/5 to All on Tue Sep 10 09:34:36 2024
    YAWN!!!
Another boring Apple announcement event with nothing of any interest,
except to the geek and "must upgrade" brigades. Apple will be rubbing
their hands in glee as the mindless dumbasses flock to buy the latest
toy, despite not really being any different to the previous model.

Why are you wasting your time in this NG?
With such an identity nobody takes you serious anyway.

Odd that you don't get that most people buying a new Apple widget are
replacing one that is several years old - so the differences do stand out.

I like my iPhone too. There are some things it does and certain apps
which I've grown accustomed to that I can't do without. But I think
what Arlen has been pointing out to the iPhone group is that Apple has severely limited iOS and the iPhone compared to Android and the other
phone manufacturers. This type of mentality is not tolerated and
immediately assailed by those heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem.
There can't be a real discussion without personal insults and talking
past each other. If anyone doesn't worship Apple they are immediately labeled a troll or heretic. It's much like the political discourse
    these days.

iOS also has less problems, less malware, and far less garbage apps
than Android. It also works mostly properly and sensibly, unlike the
disastorous mess of Android where every different manufacture adds
    their own crap into it.

I guess it comes down to what a person values. Some prefer security and simplicity to be provided to them. Others prefer complete freedom to do
what they want and be responsible for their own security. Some want a combination of both and are willing to compromise.

It would be nice if we could actually discuss these values without
    insulting each other.
It would be nice if you could be honest about your biases.

Exactly so. I'm neither a troll nor a heretic, but there is no need for
people to insult those who either like or don't like iPhones. And Arlen
(if he exists) is just as bad in that respect.

The facts you seem to hate are simply these, which Apple R&D provided.
    1. The iPhone 16 & 16 Plus now have a vertically aligned camera module
    2. Apple's Action Button was carried over from the iPhone 15 Pro
    3. A Camera Control button which reacts to different levels of pressure
    4. The iPhone 16 Pro & Pro Max model are slightly larger (at 6.3 & 6.9")
    5. A "host" of smaller upgrades, including iPhone 16 Pro 5X optical zoom

You seem to hate that Apple can't do any better than that Jolly Roger.
    Why?

Hell, they don't even have to disagree with him. He's regularly here
calling anyone who uses Apple products dumb, low-IQ, etc. And
invariably when people push back, badgolferman swoops in claiming those
same people are intolerant and attacking poor, little Arlen. They play
    this little game repeatedly.

Example: Arlen here recently claimed that Apple devices supposedly
require you to constantly log in with 2FA (false), to the extent that
you supposedly have to carry your second factor device with you
everywhere you go in order to use them (false), and that 2FA is
supposedly is a "huge privacy violation" (false). And when I and others corrected this obvious disinformation, badgolferman was right there to
claim it was us who were supposedly in the wrong for correcting it.

You seem to hate that Apple...

    Projection from a lying troll.

Every fact presented here about Apple, Jolly Roger, you first denied.

Mostly you deny them initially because you are ignorant of them.
Like the fact Apple only fully supports a single release.

Then, when you can no longer brazenly deny all facts you hate, you simply
lie about them - like you do with Apple being the only common consumer operating system vendor that requires 2FA for the basic use of the device.

    Only Apple does that.
You hate that fact, Jolly Roger.

But the fact you hate facts about Apple does not change that they're facts.
