Hello, I am the nephew of Peter Miller, a now deceased debian project contributor. In 2014 he had an article announcing his death @ https://www.debian.org/News/2014/20141020 But that page has since been
    made unavailable.

I am on a project of my own to archive and write more about Peter. If possible, could the article be restored, or if that's not possible is
there any way to have the page data sent to me so I can host it on my
    own server?

The original article was sent to the debian-news mailing list, and is

It seems that it was there until at least 2024-08-10:

    https://web.archive.org/web/20240810022333/https://www.debian.org/News/2014/20141020

All the news directories before 2022 seem to have gone, so I guess that
was caught in a generalised tidying effort.

    There is still this:

Depends on the page, but in this context, I agree.
Can the historical .../News/... be restored?
I would not care about "buzz" release notes, though.

I would. This can provide valuable input for historians. Don't let the

I definitely agree. I was recently (last week) going through old releases,
and I found a bunch of broken links to the release notes under Debian's
news section on the Wiki, and was surprised at how many were 404.

(something something Cool URIs don't change[1] something something - I
can't figure out how to best put this link in without it looking snarky,
truely it's not meant to be snarky, just the first thing that came to mind.
One interpretation of this is to set up redirects as required from old
pages to new ones, even if it's a redirect to the mailing list archives)
