so recently I began using a pi3 b+ for a low end bbs and it works flawlessly and I was amazed by how little computing it needs a BBS needed so it managed me to reallocate me pi5 for usage as a science computation aid through folding via the BOINC aka Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing but now I wonder a bit if Pis can do that from stock what the true limit and how far it will go.

I think the main issue with RPi's is that they need to be properly cooled to prevent them from throttling down clockspeed. If they're not overheating, you should get the best performance.
