Hey, I have the same "snowbook" at home. I'm not sure if you already replaced the "spinning rust" harddrive, but you can get an SSD drive (2.5 inch) and 2*2 gigs of ram. Mine snowbook is running ubuntu.

Hey there,
In this case, installing a Linux distro will give it a second life. Linux Mint or Debian will run pretty well. Even the lastest version. Better perhaps with XFCE. I've done it on a Macbook from 2008, and it run fine and fast! Must be an Intel Proc.
