[$] The state of systemd: 2026 edition
Date:
Fri, 09 Oct 2026 14:58:15 +0000
Description:
At the 2026 All Systems Go! conference, systemd maintainers Luca Boccassi and Zbigniew Jdrzejewski-Szmek
delivered the traditional "state of the project" session with an overview of the
systemd project's accomplishments in the past year. That was followed by a maintainer round table where Boccassi, Jdrzejewski-Szmek, Daan DeMeyer, and project leader Lennart Poettering fielded questions about systemd's size, health, and if it might replace Kubernetes. (It will not.)
