So, my christmas present to myself was a 4 foot power strip with 12
outlets and a 6-pack of little 6-inch extension cords to replace a mess
of daisy-chained desktop power strips in my homelab.

The little extension cords go in, and wall warts plug into them -
freeing up plugs blocked by the wall warts, so that saved a couple of
plugs. I found 2 wall warts plugged for devices that were long gone,
clearing out more plugs.
This time, every wall wart got a label.
A little dusting and everything looks nicer now - and there's less crap
behind the cabinet.
I do need to move one of my servers out of the cabinet (an old Chinese armoire). The cabinet is early 20th century with some holes in the back,
but not much airflow. My second Proxmox host is a Dell Optiplex with a
6th gen i5, and the ambient temp inside hovers around 78 degrees. I have
a 120mm fan blowing from behind the PC to an adjacent hole, trying to
get some airflow out, but I need a way to get cool air in.
I'll try reversing things and blowing cool air in instead of hot air
out, see if that makes a difference.
