The Americans are making EM weapons that are basically satellite-type condensors that aim their weapons into a crowd and it feels like they have their skin burning up. The science behind this is the use of 20-50 GHz broad beams that are aimed at people during rallies, or are otherwise used to drive people away from some secure site. They are meant to be used to scatter gathered people in a non-permanent injury. The dishes are mounted on top of military vehicles with the dish at the top of the vehicle aimed at whatever direction the people are who are being denied access to a site. This is way more effective than water from fire hoses or noise cannons, or even pepper/bear spray. This is like a blanket of pain, hurtin all over. It's not a fun time to be sure.

On to another tangent, but still relating to this, is the rumor that some crosswalk boxes contain RF emitters to calm people or put people in to distress. This was a project that happened back in the 90's, and is probably no longer further being researched, but a point on our riddled past, a blemish on our being called a "safe and secure" nation, however there it is...

    Cheers!
