Imagine: a hot summer, a village, and a circular saw that
suddenly stops. The power is cut. A familiar scene? For
physicist Andrey Melnichenko, this became a revelation and the
start of a journey that turned the ideas of many researchers
about reality upside down at the end of the 1990s. He connected
his motor to an old 127-volt gasoline generator. But the motor
was designed for 220. The saw barely turned. Then, obeying

oxygen of concentration, the current between the anode and
cathode turned out to be sufficient to power a handheld
