The world sleeps, lulled by the lies of textbooks, turning
away from the greatest mystery frozen in ice and oblivion.
But I, like the few others who dare to look beyond the
horizon of dogma, tell you: we are not the first. And our
history is but a pale shadow of another, dazzling and
tragic, whose fragments rest at the bottom of an icy ocean.
I am speaking of Hyperborea. Not a myth. Not an allegory.
But a lost ancestral homeland of civilization. Imagine not a
faceless icy desert, but a flowering continent crowning the
top of the world. The ancient Greeks, Indian rishis, Iranian
magi - all spoke in one voice of it: the land beyond the
north wind, where the sun does not set for months, and
people live in harmony with the gods. They called it by
different names: Hyperborea, Meru, Hara Berezaiti. But the
essence was the same: the abode of the Perfect Ones. What if
this is not a poetic metaphor but a vague memory? A memory
of an Ice Age civilization, whose days were endlessly long
until thunder struck from the heavens. Look at the Mercator
map of 1595, this cipher from the past. At the center of the
Arctic Ocean - a vast continent, cut by mighty rivers, with
Mount Meru at its heart. Where did a medieval cartographer
obtain this knowledge? From even more ancient sources, of
course, from those who saw this continent with their own
eyes. And here is the first blow to orthodoxy: modern
geology silently agrees. The Lomonosov and Mendeleev ridges,
now submerged to kilometer depths, stood above the waves
9-12 thousand years ago! And 2-3 thousand years ago,
individual fragments still emerged from the gloomy, icy,
inhospitable waters. They were not just scraps of land -
they were a system of plateaus, mountains, valleys.
Terraces, abrasion platforms, traces of wind erosion, even
geometric lines on the seabed - these are not nature's whim.
This is the geographical passport of a sunken land. And the
climate? Oh, here science paints a picture worthy of a mad
god's brush. Forests grew in the Arctic, mammoths grazed on
Novaya Zemlya. There was no permafrost, no deadly ice. It
was a different world, a different pole - warm, hospitable.
An ideal climate - but for whom? For primitive
hunter-gatherers of the Stone Age? No. Such conditions are
the cradle for a complex culture. And the memory of this is
preserved by all peoples of the North: Slavs, Finns, Nenets
- their legends are unanimous. There was a White Island, a
Bright Land. And it sank beneath the waters on the day of
the Great Judgment. But what force is capable of casting
down an entire continent, shifting the planet's axes, and
rewriting the heavens? The ancient texts of India and Iran
hold the answer: they speak of a great exodus from the
North, when "the sun changed its course" and "the sky fell
to the earth." These are not fantasies. They are a clinical
description of a planetary catastrophe. Hypotheses about an
approach of the neutron star "Typhon," about a sharp change
in the tilt of the Earth's axis - these are not science
fiction, but a desperate attempt by science to explain the
inexplicable: the global flood, the extinction of megafauna,
and the submergence of Arctida. The cataclysm was so
monstrous that the survivors carried with them to southern
lands not just skills - they carried a longing for the lost
paradise, for the Golden Age. They became gods for primitive
tribes, they gave rise to Vedic and Hellenic wisdom. The
Hyperboreans did not die out entirely - they scattered,
dissolved into our myths and genes. And the final, material
touches to this chilling mosaic: mysterious mounds and
pyramids on Novaya Zemlya, whose architecture does not fit
known cultures. Ancient toponyms on maps, strangely
coinciding with real underwater structures. Even birds,
those involuntary cartographers, with their migration routes
indicate former land bridges across the pole, connecting
Eurasia and America through the heart of a vanished empire.
So what is Hyperborea? It is not a myth. It is a geological
reality, a climatological fact, and the greatest
archaeological mystery. It is the Atlantis of the North,
whose white walls of marble and ice long ago collapsed under
the weight of the ocean and time. Our ancestors remembered
"those who came from the stars," living at the pole. Is it
not because of this that, looking at the northern lights, we
feel an inexplicable thrill? It is subconscious memory. The
echo of a legendary civilization that not only lived during
the Ice Age - it reigned over it, until the sky itself fell
upon its head. And now its secrets, its technologies,
perhaps surpassing our own, and its tragic end lie beneath
the thickness of permafrost and ocean waters, awaiting the
hour when humanity is ready to accept the shocking truth
about its origin. The truth still awaits us there, at the
bottom of the icy ocean.
