• Remembering the Holocaust & Israel

This day is the International Holocaust Day. Today we remember the millions killed by the NAZI and Soviet Union regimes. People were mass-murdered simply due to their ancestry. It was basically illegal to be a Jew. What differentiates the Jews from the rest of the world is that they do not assimilate into the cultures in which they live. They are a distinct people who keep their people and their faith unchanging.

There is a poem that I'd like to share with all of you on this day of remembrance. It details the abandonment of the Jews by the whole World, and all peoples who forsake their brothers:

"First they came for the Socialists and I did not speak out---because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists and I did not speak out---because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out---because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me---and there was no one left to speak for me."
    -Martin Niemoller

Take a moment to pause today. With all the wars going on right now in the World, are we all that much different than those who forsook their brothers and sisters in the twentieth century? Consider that seriously.

    With regards,
