    canadafreepress is exagerating. the "plan" is not to ban the
    bible, but "The Bloc Québécois is planning to introduce an
    amendment to a Liberal government bill that would remove a
    religious exemption from Canada's hate speech laws"
    Bill C-9 - the Carney government's first major justice bill -
    is looking to remove the religious exemption for hate speech.

    This is a strange proposal from my point of view. Any religion is, in principle, built on the exclusivity of its own idea. Why do liberals believe that liberalism has the right to make such assessments?

    Religions are based on intolerances. "The only way..." "Only the one god (or only our approved gods)" that sort of thing.

    Liberalism is not inherently anti-religion, by communism masquerading as liberalism always is anti-religion.
