"Canadians Will Never Give Up The Best Country in The World" https://globe2go.pressreader.com/article/281724095197187

I would copy and paste this article for use on Sp00knet, however The Globe and Mail has put stuff in place that prevents such things. You will have to visit their site on your own and read this deep and profound and accurate and comprehensive article on the Country of Canada.
It is written by a former Prime Minister JEAN CHRETIEN, 1993-2003. He put into words the feelings of most Canadians. It shows just how poorly President Trump understands Canada. This article gives the thoughts in common that we as Canadians share amongst all of one another on the subject of our National Sovereignty. We don't want to be "a 51st state" of the USA, not in any respect, whatsoever.

Please read the linked article as from reading it you will understand our perspective and love of our own country far and above any imperialist bully and his agenda.

    Vive le Canada!

    Cheers!

Normally, one could simply disable javascript to bypass the

put the article into the java part itself, so without it,
turning off javascript just blocks the articles!

Pulling out an ancient and largely forgotten ex-PM to rally patriotism is noble and the pride of Canada should never be dimmed.

Unfortunately this relic speaks from emotions and not facts.

On a GNP basis as a 51st state Canada would come in fourth or fifth, that is if kept together as an economic unit.

If you remove the trade with USA it falls to about number 35/36, again as a entire Canada vs separate states.

Economically Canada is substantially dependent on trade with the USA at favorable terms.

The present PM knows he score. While pledge to a culturally and politically independent Canada, he knows more than most how the economic independence was never really there to lose.

Personally it looks to me that a lot of this is to do with posturing for the replacement trade treaties and to curtail the Chinese using Canada as a vehicle for their trade war aims.

... There is an exception to every rule, except this one.
