A few days ago there was a meeting with Donald Trump and Zolensky... the kind of meeting that goes down in the record books for being the most poorly conducted meeting between leaders in this century. Has anyone seen the videos of this yelling match? What do you think about the negotiation skills of these two leaders? I remember the Dale Carnegie and Toastmasters classes from years back. They would have fainted from this totally messed up dialogue; this is totally what you should not do.

I wouldn't call it a yelling match, Zelenskyy was as composed as I could imagine anyone being while being ambushed by Trump, Vance, Rubio and the rest of the cabinet (off camera)

There was a great twitter thread highlighting all of the gaslighting and victim-blaming by Trump and Vance.

I'm interested to hear about another meeting with Zelenskyy, Starmer (GB) and Macron (France). Instead of 15 on 1, 15 on 3 might be a little more equitable.

This man, Vladimir Zolensky, has come to the United States some 4x and taken handouts from the American taxpayer to the tune of 200B dollars. [Actually much higher than this, but I won't repeat the Trump camps 350B BS...] During this same time, the American taxpayer has given another 100B+ to illegal immigration housing, health insurance, welfare and other handouts to people who aren't in our country legally.

I know you aren't a United States citizen, but we are DONE with spending our money on wars and illegal immigration.

Over the past decade and a half, our government has taken more and more and more of our earned dollars in taxes - for stupid things that you can research @ doge.gov. We are DONE with it.

Ideas?

The meeting between Trump and Zolensky, while not curt, still brought the results Trump/Americans wanted - he has elected to sign a mineral rights deal that would allow Americans to claw back the investment in their war that we paid for.

I anticipate that the POTUS I voted into office is going to continue to fight, fight, fight and not let up for the next four years. We are going to force other countries to treat us right - or we're going to impose reciprocal tarrifs - how could that be frowned upon in any sane world? If India tariffs our vehicles at OVER 100%, we do the same to their important exports. If Australia does the same, they get the same. If the EU puts VAT taxes on our exports, we implement reciprocal [similar] tariffs on their important exports.

How is that a wild idea?? Its simply fair - and we haven't been doing so for far too long.

We are the super power - we are the strongest country and have proven so during this 250 year experiment. The waste and fluff is going to be washed out - now. We, the American people, are happy for this. We don't want to continue to pay 45% of our income while we eat inflation and other costs... same as you wouldn't like to.

We aren't going to back down, we are going to use our status and wealth to force these changes - we are going to stand behind our admin.

Theres 160M US citizens who agree with me - and now is the time for change... it doesn't have to be crazy, just treat us as we've treated you for the last 30 years.

Thank God we have someone working overtime in the White House. He isn't going to slow down, and I believe the left has sat on their hands long enough that they're guaranteeing the next 12 years will result in a republican POTUS.

Thank God. No more payments for illegal immigrants. No more funding war across the world. No more Americans paying for the LBGTQIA+ across the world. No more - sorry, but join us or feel us.

I know you'll make the right choice.

I'm generally AntiPolitical. Hating people over ideas is awful. That being said. I think they needed to help remove some of the entitlement from Zolensky. That is what happened. He keeps pushing for security guarantees. Well as a Dad I know what this means. You want my children to come fight your war for you. You also want us to pay for it.

I'm not against helping them but at the same time there needs to be limits and expectations set. You don't come to us hat in hand and make demands. I'm sure that works with presidents that do not care about my checkbook.

I do not want my kids going to war. I do not way to keep paying for other countries lives. We need to focus on us for a bit.

I know that many people hate over ideas so I'm sorry if you don't agree. If you don't have kids that you don't want to go to war then you do not understand how a dad can feel.

Remember that most negotiations do not happen on the air. He was playing at the heartstrings of Americans trying to garner more support for him and more money for him, Without limits. So many people around the world want to tell Americans what we need to do how who we should vote for.

I don't tell people that live in other countries whats good for them, or who to vote for. This is because I do not live there. I can't know what's best for you. Same is in the reverse. I get it many people do not like our choice. If your not American and do not live here. You can't understand our side of things. I hear constantly from everyone around the world the same thing America should do this or that for policing the world or giving money. I never hear them saying their country should be doing it.

I'm sorry but the free money from American needs to stop at least for a bit while our own suffering gets under control. You cannot help others from a position of weakness.

Theres my 2 cents. Hope you don't hate me for my ideas. I could go for days on this but I agree with what is happening and bringing costs down.

Well, Trump is all about taking away government funding (even when voted
by congress) and forcing people to "kiss the ring", so to speak.

Ukraine is a proxy war, and a potential domino in the european theater.
If we don't want Poland and the Balkan states to fall to Russia, and
eventually a re-built warsaw pact, Ukraine is where to stop it.

We fought that war once. Best not to fight it again.

There's a supercut of 92 times that Zelenskyy publicly thanked the administration and the US people for the assistance in fighting this
war. Trump, Vance, Rubio and the cabinet ambushed Zelenskyy on
camera, that wasn't the time or the place. Zelenskyy was gracious
afterwards.

I'm sorry but the free money from American needs to stop at least for a bit while our own suffering gets under control. You cannot help others from a position of weakness.

Tell that to the military-industrial complex. Weapons are big,
