Some of what we classify as paranormal perhaps is just dimensional-slippaged?
Scientists suggest we typically perceive a meager four dimensions from a world they theorize might be 11 to 16 dimensions.
Historic accounts of say perhaps the "Great Hunt" of odd creatures hunting via some sort of horseback suddenly appearing and then disappearing might be little more than a shadow cast from these other dimensions into the dimensions we perceive.
The goal of deep meditative practices might also be an extra-dimensional vision or transport?
Take Father Pio, later recognized as a Saint. It was said he could be in more than one place at the same time, or move about as if he was being transported like in Star Trek. Did his existence operate in an extra dimension or several of them?

The problem with parallel realities is that it is just a mathematical assumption. Practically today, only the existence of one other dimension where particles annihilate, creating antiparticles, has been proven.
