Combating Cult Mind Control: The #1 Best-Selling Guide to Protection, Rescue, and Recovery from Destructive Cults (Audible.com)

This book seems to be a well rounded overview of the topic. It is available on Audible.com, which is my preference in consuming books. You can sit on your recliner and learn as someone reads a story to you. Fun times. The book goes for one credit on Audible, which is the equivalent of $13 USD. Audible is an Amazon company, so you can know that they know what they're doing. It is a fabulous provider of audio books of all kinds, and at $13 USD per book you can't find a cheaper deal anywhere else (that's legal). It is even cheaper than paperback books for something that I would imagine should cost more than than a book because of the cost of narration by very good voice actors.

So, yeah, check it out. It's in my library of books to consume. Have a most excellent day and I wish you well.

    Cheers!

I read this some years ago if you mean the book by Steve Hassan. He was a member of the Unification Church (Moonies) and he talks a lot about why a bright guy like him stayed in the cult for as long as he did.

He describes "thought-stopping," a kind of reflexive mental process which shuts down questioning when contradictions or problems with the cult become apparent. The idea here is that bad forces are tempting cult messengers to question their belief and so they develop these habits to squash that process.

In my country, people have been brainwashed using this technology. They see Americans everywhere, Americans interfere with their lives. They hate Americans. It looks like mass zombies. I don't know what to do with this. They really see some Americans who are chasing them.
Moreover, most of these people have never been abroad at all and have not seen foreigners. This is mass madness. They are fighting Americans who are not even here and have never been here.

This is slightly off topic, but have you heard of "depatterning" This is vaguely similiar to what you're describing.

Yeah, America is called "The Great Satan" though they are often the ones contributing humanitarian aid throughout the world. America has a lot to answer for, but when it comes to nations in general the USA is a fine country. I mean there are some obvious problems: criminal health care costs for both hospitals and surgeries and drugs that are ten times more expensive than in other countries. When it comes to the spiritual aspect of the USA there are some very powerful hate filled lobbyists who cause trouble for the Christians. There is the criminalization of Christianity, as described by the book of the same name. One of my favorite countries is Canada. I'm from Canada and enjoy freedoms that are rights over here. Subsidized education, health care, and a stable political environment. Granted there are crimes against humanity by the allowing of abortion at any point up to just before birth. We actually have NO laws against abortion, not just that our laws suck, but that we have no law against the practice of abortion on the books at all. There are things to complain about but many things to be happy about at the same time.

America is not the enemy. Canada is not the enemy. The enemy are the Anti-Christs, those who are against God and his Great Commission. Those people who want to be worshiped as God, have total totalitarian power, and those who are against human rights.

Everyone: You currently have the right to freedom of thought. Don't pass up your opportunity to exercise this.

    Cheers!
