I've heard nothing but thankfulness that the Americans have liberated the women of Iran. The radical Islamist government that has been in place for a long time now is not what the Iranians want. People have been welcoming the overthrow of the regime. People are praising the death of Iran's spiritual leader. Without a doubt there are radicals that didn't want their leader to die, but their voices aren't reaching me. It is just jubilation at the end of a tyrant. Trump thinks that the war will be a short one, but also says that he is willing to stay there longer if need be. Women don't want to be chattel, but rather want their freedom and liberty. Being forced to wear black full-body dresses throughout the day, especially in that area's weather climate would have been brutal. Whatever you might have against Trump, and there are many such things, this liberation of women has nothing bad about it. Sure people are dying in this war, but I for one am for freedom, and if people want to save other people's rights and liberty in a just war I see nothing wrong with that. It is a shame that people need to go to war to ensure the freedom of others, but people have died for far less important things which came to nothing. This effort at giving equal rights to both men and women is a righteous thing as far as I can tell. Literally, I see nothing wrong with this action of Trump's. Freedom is valuable and worth more than much silver and gold.

Not certain if those remaining have a cultural identity outside of their adopted muslim world?

I think we just need to understand. That Shiites are not the majority. These are the descendants of the Arabs who captured and destroyed Persia in the 7th century. They just make a lot of noise and murders.

Win the lottery, pocket a couple of hundred million, set yourself up as
a warlord in the 'stans, buy yourself an army and declare a Zoroastrian
