• EBITDA vs retained earnings

From aruns@700:100/33 to All on Fri Jun 13 10:09:15 2025
Am I right in thinking that, given retained earnings is net income minus any dividend payments to shareholders, retained earnings factors in more expenses that EBITDA, which just covers interest, taxes, depreciation and appreciation? So retained earnings will also cover expenses like employee compensation packages?

EBITDA is a non-cash measurement, as it adds back certain payments made.

It is not directly related to the specificity of a firm's ability to "cover expenses."
