Having a small business allows you to have a reason for shipping out lots of stuff. With postal costs so high these days you are best off shipping small packets of things, such as DVD-R's loaded with materials or USB Flash Drives that can be shipped in "letter mail," which costs less than ten dollars to ship it anywhere in North America, with a similiar shipping situtation in the European Union. Having your product fit in a letter mail package is very convenient, for the reason of decreased prices for getting the packages to their destinations and because you will know approximately how much postage to expect to pay. So you will know what to expect in your transaction. Selling stuff on eBay has the added benefit of discounted shipping rates for larger items, working out to be about half the usual shipping costs. So what can you sell that would fit in a letter mail package?
WordPress Plugins and Themes (legal due to the GPL license)
LibreVox Recordings with the attributions taken out (which is legal since they are in the public domain)
Old Time Radio recordings
Freeware Fonts
The Complete Holy Bible in eBook and AudioBook (public domain)
All the audio recordings from your favorite public figure
Public domain materials of all sorts
etc. etc.
These things for sale have been selected because their sale is legal, so you won't get in legal trouble. These things for sale would work for anyone who wants a secondary income, and not just Intel Community folks. I don't work for the Intelligence Community, however I use much the same methods for earning income as would be perfectly suited to someone who works in the Intelligence Community (IC). There are also other points of income in which you buy low and sell high, with one such opportunity being the purchase of things on Amazon during their great discount times, and buying a lot of the inexpensive stuff, then reselling it on eBay for a large profit at the time when the Amazon prices are back to normal.
Some things to think about...
Cheers!
