It is now possible to buy home-brew gene editing and modification technology for a small fee from a rebel organization that advocates the total control of what goes into people's bodies, that a person should have the right to modify themselves down to the genetic level. Think mRNA technology in the hands of high-school and college kids. The organization is headed by an ex-NASA scientist who has radical beliefs that our bodies are our own temples with which we can do whatever we want to do to them. This uses CRISPR Cas9 Gene Modding. They are selling kits to do gene modding (genetic malfeasance) for a small (affordable) fee. This is radical genetic alteration. If these mods ever came into our germ-line it could tear apart what makes us human.
