• Sp00k Audio Books on Audible.com

I don't really enjoy reading books in dead tree format. Personally I like to have someone read stories for me. The price point of Audible.com is such that its cheaper to obtain the book you seek in audio format than in paperback or hard cover. A book being sold on Audible's subscription option will cost one credit. Each credit costs about $12-$15 USD depending on how many credits you buy in bulk. A credit can be applied to *ANY* book in their library. A two hour audio book costs you just the same as a 96 hour audio book. I highly recommend the Audible audio book store over any other platform that you can use to provide you books of any kind. Their library is massive. They have books from all areas of study, appropriate and shady. When I find a company that provides quality products I like to share what I've found with my friends and associates. This is worth checking out. Seriously, I recommend them 100%, and no I'm not getting sponsored by Audible.com for writing this, its just that they are just that good that I'm spreading the good news about them.

    Cheers!

Since I don't commute anymore, I don't listen to many audio books/podcasts anymore. However, a great way to build up your personal library is to head to your local dead tree library with a CD-ROM equipped laptop (or, a USB CD-ROM drive). Grab a stack of interesting audio books and start ripping to MP3.

If you're worried about appearances, you can certainly just check them out and rip them at home, but at like three minutes per disc, you can build up a healthy backlog of stuff to listen to very easily.

I'm not really into "stealing" audio books. However, when it comes to book piracy the only reason it has been considered piracy is the stance of governments that makes it so. There are many third world countries where it is perfectly legal to copy media as you see fit. This thing about getting into trouble for sharing media is a Western idea and decision. Really what is termed as piracy is the greatest respect of all, that you care enough for a book that you would share it with a friend. Paying for books should be subsidized by the government, with those who pay for the books being libraries, schools, businesses, and students. On that last part though I'm not certain, as some students would argue that they should get their school books for free as they are just using them to learn from. Just my thoughts...

I'm not sure I'd consider exporting discs you're allowed to use into a more usable format piracy. Now, if you upload your digital files to The Pirate Bay, that's a different story.

Yessir! Changing the format of the media that you purchase should not be a crime at all. Some of those software that are used to convert DRM media to open formats are the following:

    AnyDVD : https://www.redfox.bz/en/anydvdhd.html
    Epubor Audible Converter: https://epubor.com/audible-converter.html
Epubor eBook DRM Remover : https://epubor.com/ultimate.html
iTubeGo YouTube Downloader: https://itubego.com/4k-youtube-video-downloader66/ ICEDAX CD Audio Ripper CDDA to .WAV : ICEDAX : "apt-get install icedax"

We deserve freedom from Digital Restrictions Management
