  • The Great Courses Prime Video App

    Have you ever wanted to learn something just for the sake a learning? No tests, no exams, no cramming, no pain in the ass... I'd like to introduce you to The Great Courses. They offer college level and university level courses of all types from all sorts of courses that explain all sorts of questions that you may have. They have around 70 courses, with each of those courses offering at minimum twelve lessons per course with the most being around 48 lessons. If you have Amazon Prime on your FireTV stick you can add The Great Courses as an app inside of the Amazon Prime app. It costs me $9 CAD/month. There are no commercials, its just pure fun. I love learning but I don't like cramming for exams that I don't want to take. You can give yourself a college education without the high tuition and proof of your absolute intake of arbitrary facts. I would rate this subscription as a 5.0 out of 5.0. I'm not kidding or exaggerating, this is something that is a pure game changer, without a huge uptake in customers as far as I can tell, but nonetheless totally amazing.

    Just wanted to add something, I'm using Libby which is an app you can connect your library card to for digital access. Your mileage my vary depending on your library, but mine offers a 7 day pass to connect to the Great Courses, once the 7 days are up, you can go back to Libby and get another 7 day pass. Free access, in short. Hope this helps someone.

    Are the courses just served as you go, or can you download them for off-line use?
