I've been working on Hammer on and off for about two years, mostly late at night when I had some free time. It started as a way to check the weather over SSH and kept growing, because every few weeks I'd think "it wouuld be fun if it could do this too" and bolt on another thing. No plan or roadmap... just to spend some time...
right now it has message forums, a oneliner wall, chat, a few utilities, a weather lookup, and Legend of the Red Dragon through BBSLink. You can come in as a guest without signing up, and if you use an SSH key it remembers you next time.
Miss the old days a lot. Calling a board, reading what people left on the wall, waiting for your turn on the line. Seeing how many people still hang around here and keep their boards running makes me really happy.
