Hey guys --
I've been building TW 3002 -- yet ANOTHER take on the classic BBS door game. Persistent universe, turn-based movement, trading between ports, planet colonization, fighter combat, and a galaxy full of NPCs that move in real-time. No client, no installer - just a browser and an account.
A few old-school traders are already grinding the miles and building colonies, but I'm looking for more people to log in and help test the systems. I know the BBS crowd tends to have…well opinions, especially with TradeWars clones -- and I want them (but be kind).
Here's where it's at:
🧭 Trade Routes - Directional ports, Auto-Pilot trade routes, Route Scanner, Quick Trade, and a persistent route overlay. The trading loop is fast. You can plot multi-hop routes and let auto-pilot handle the jumps.
⚔ Interactive PvP - When you engage another player you choose: Fight, Flee, Surrender, or Hail. Threat warnings and page-refresh recovery if your connection drops.
🚀 Fighter Bays & Fleets - Upgrade your bay (Mk I/II/III) at StarDock to carry more fighters. Collect them from planets and deploy to sectors from the Planet screen.
📘 Captain's Journal - Logs every sector you visit. /warp-to plots courses, and you can scan neighboring sectors without burning a turn jumping.
🌌 Living Galaxy - Raiders, traders, and patrols move in real-time across the map. A daily galaxy summary is posted to the public news feed so you can see what's been happening.
🛠 Dozens of recent bug fixes - Planet resource caps, combat 500 errors, melange pricing, turn regen math, action-point sync. Actively maintained.
💰 Fighter Fleet Naming - Name your deployed fleets for $2. Purely cosmetic. ---
