I'm reading about how online services like compuserve, the source, genie, dow jones and others were like and from what I know they were mostly text based and compuserve specifically used a text format called vidtex. I was born well after the dial up era and have always wondered what they all look like and would love to see a bbs that tries to emulate the look and features of these online services. Compuserve especially. I know nina.chat has plans to revive compuserve but as far as I know that's mostly providing a server for the windows and mac clients. I suggested to them on their patreon to try and start by recreating the 1980s text only terminal only. So far they haven't responded to me yet.
