So I read a lot of stuff on here and a few other sites I found on g00gl3s. I'm ib Windows 11 64 bit, which apparently is terrible for getting 16 bit DOS shit to run. I found a patched Vision/2 for Y2K. I loved Vision-X back in the days, and I looked at the Telnet BBS list and there's not a single Vision board on it. So it seems like a good choice, I installed it and it's working, err running. But what I found online it would seem I need to install a VM and an older OS 32 bit OS.
I can't find much about what issues you'll have if you get something working with DOSBox on 64 bit windows. Just info about how a lot of shit won't work at all. I tried getting OBV/2 working and it won't even open. I'm not against running a VM, in fact installing XP on a VM would probably be easiest. But from the bit I'm done with Vis/2 in Dosbox on my system it seems to be working like it should. So I'm just curious what issues might I encouter if I try to do this as is on a 64 bit OS? submitted by /u/Bigheaded_1 [link] [comments]
