Anyone running or know of an internet bbs i can connect to with syncterm?

When I try to connect in syncterm, only way I know is via ctrl+d quick connect, then it prompts for a userid, if I leave it blank and press enter it shows an error.
I just want to connect, it shows the login screen which would let me register. Im guessing I'm doing something wrong with syncterm and connecting?
