New here, need simple help for setting up a BBS

Alright, big noob here. I've literally learned what a BBS is an hour ago, and i already love the vibe.
I've downloaded Synchronet, and enabled back on the Telnet service of my Windows, i'm 99% sure my Telnet is working. When i input my local IP ("telnet 127.0.0.1 23") it properly connect and i can log in, everything working fine.
But when i try using the Internet Address i've set up, it output me this "Connecting to ImTestingMyBBSAddress.com...Unable to open a connection to the host on port 23: Connection failed"
It's obvious that i need to do smth with my port 23, and i've tried changing the "Listening port : 23" to smth like 2323 or 25565/25566 in the "Terminal Server Configuration, Telnet category"
but i really really doesn't know how to manipulate this software, if anyone could help me out on this one, i'll appreciate it submitted by /u/leboyEB [link] [comments]
