Install a real 1980s and 1990s DOS bulletin board, the actual DOS software and not a lookalike, on the same shared hosting you already run WordPress on. Your callers reach it in a web browser, no Telnet and no terminal program, and it runs as many nodes at once as your host can carry. One click for a supported board, or import the one you already have. No VPS, no open ports, nothing left running at home.
