Moebius(2) has been busy! In just the last two days, the project has added Ctrl-A / Synchronet .MSG support, the ability to view ANSI packs from the 16colo.rs website, and now layering support.
Layering does not change what a final ANSI file is - the finished .ANS is still a normal flattened ANSI display. What it does give the artist is a better workspace while creating it. Backgrounds, logos, characters, shadows, guide art, or alternate ideas can be kept on separate layers, edited independently, hidden, moved, or locked, then flattened/exported into the final ANSI.
For ANSI artists, this is an outstanding step forward and makes Moebius(2) an even more interesting project to watch. For more info and v1.4 download visit:
