Yes I am using MAME on a retopi arcade. I build a cabinet with zerolag controller boards and real arcade controls. Retropi and a 128gig image
    with
something like 8000 games on it. It has a lighted marque which is powered by
a arduino and animates. The cabinet came as a flat pack kit which I purchased
off of etsy and modified to my own specs. It has a coin button. Some selection buttons and two 8 button arcade 8 way joysticks. I usually power it
on when I have company and sometimes bring it to parties. I made it relatively beer proof.

Funny you mentioned that - I prefer consoles b/c its what I HAD as a youngster; my favorite being Turbografx-16, but I also like MAME for some Don Don Patchu(sp?) - I just had a cool session playing on my 27" monitor in landscape mode, just like the arcade version!!!
