    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

EMPIRE v3.0 .... The 1990 Amiga multiplayer conquest door, rebuilt here
in 2026 with the original authors' consent. Land,
grain, armies and treachery. Attack a ruler who is
online and you fight them LIVE, node to node, the
battle line drawing on both screens at once. Attack
one who isn't and you can nail a challenge to their
gate -- your army frozen as it stands, for them to
meet whenever they next log in.
ASCII, ANSI, PETSCII and SkyPix, at 40 and 80 columns.
Weekly standings posted to the C-Net echos.

THE ORACLE ..... Ask a question in plain English and get an answer.
Wolfram|Alpha first, an AI for whatever Wolfram won't
compute. TLS, HTTP, JSON and UTF-8 folding all done
natively on the Amiga under AmiSSL -- there is no
Linux box in the path. Nowhere else runs this.

NODEINFO ....... FTN nodelist browser and netmail door. Look up any
node in any network we carry, then write to them
without leaving the board. Written here, released
    as freeware.

IRC ............ Our own IRC network, channel #BBS. Type IRC at the
Main> prompt to join from the board -- or point any
IRC client at irc.rofbbs.com and drop in without
    calling at all.

DOOR GAMES ..... Greed, MurderMotel, BattleLands, Wheel of Fortune,
Yacht-Zee and the rest of the C-Net library.

DOOR NETWORKS .. DoorParty and A-Net Online, reached over RLOGIN.
Hundreds more games on other people's iron.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    C O N N E C T -- S I X W A Y S I N
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    DIAL-UP ........ 423-541-8271
    USRobotics 56K Faxmodem, external -- V.92 / V.90.
A real phone line and real iron on the end of it.
Not emulated. Not a bridge. Pick up and dial.

    Telnet ......... call.rofbbs.com port 6800
SSH ............ ssh call@call.rofbbs.com (no password needed)
IPv6 ........... supported -- connect over v6 on the telnet port
    RLOGIN ......... port 513 -- auto-login for registered callers
    JoinLink ....... port 9600 -- inter-BBS C-Net linking

Calling by SSH? You get live CP437-to-UTF-8 translation, so the ANSI
art renders correctly in a modern terminal instead of turning to soup.
No special client, no font hunting, no setup. Just connect.

RLOGIN callers with an account skip the login entirely -- terminal type,
handle and password are all answered for you. You land at the prompt.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    L A N G U A G E S & T E R M I N A L S
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Languages ...... English / Espanol / Deutsch
A complete translation -- menus, prompts, help files,
system messages and even the chat emotes. Not just a
welcome screen. Switch it yourself from the prefs
menu; the whole board follows you.

Graphics ....... IBM / ANSI * Amiga SkyPix * Commodore PETSCII
...and plain ASCII if you want none of it.

    [A] Amiga [C] CBM 64/128 (PETSCII)
[I] IBM / ANSI [S] SkyPix [ENTER] ASCII

    Screen ......... 40 or 80 columns -- your choice, so a 40-column
Commodore terminal is a first-class caller here.

Three graphics standards from three different worlds, on one board.
Call from an Amiga, a C64, a DOS box or a modern terminal -- it speaks
all of them, in any of the three languages.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    M A I L -- S E V E N N E T W O R K S , F I V E H O S T E D
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

WE HOST five of them. If you run a board and want in, this is the
    front door:

    ArakNet ........ 10:100/1 PiNet .......... 314:413/1
    C-Net .......... 64:500/1 RetroNet ....... 80:774/1
    DiscipleNet .... 12:316/1

One shared number space across all five -- you get the
SAME node number in every network you join, and it is
held in reserve in the ones you don't. Hub is on
    call.rofbbs.com:24556.

    Also carried:

    FidoNet ........ 1:154/50 AmigaNet ....... 39:902/518

binkp/1.1 on port 24554, carried by AmiBinkd -- a native AmigaOS binkp
mailer written here for this board. No ixemul, no emulation shims.
Released as freeware; other boards run it now too.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    S I S T E R B O A R D S -- T H E C O M M O D O R E S I D E
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Reign of Fire II ..... C-Net 64 on a Commodore 64 40 columns
    call.rofbbs.com port 6400

    Reign of Fire III .... C-Net/128 on a Commodore 128 40 / 80 columns
    call.rofbbs.com port 8502

Three boards, three machines, one group. 8-bit and 16-bit, side by side.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Real Amiga BBS software. Two real Commodores next door.
A real modem on a real phone line. Seven mail networks, five of them
hosted here. Three languages, all the way down.

A conquest game you can fight live against another caller, and an
oracle that does its own TLS on a 68k.

Six ways to knock. Pick one.
