    Hiya,

Anyone using a Pi for anything cool?

I have a flight Aware node at home - http://fr.thenet.gen.nz and usa pi for some digital tv 'Stuff' :-)

I know an old topic, but I use cloudflare tunnels for my adsb and other stuff

https://adsb-2.rima-iot.eu/tar1090/ (Currently no antenna) https://apt.rima-iot.eu/ (needs a new sdr)

Much safer than opening a port

I have 2 Pi 4's. One is my own private mail server for my websites, the other is an IRC server. Just got done setting it all up.

IRC Servers come and go. You can be assure that the ROFNet IRC server will be here for a long time. If you know me, my BBS has been on Telnet since 2010. So lets all add the following to your IRC list...

    irc.rofbbs.net
    ROFNet Server
    #lobby

Let me know if anyone needs help setting this up on C-Net.

I have a couple also, They both run Ubuntu Server with an XFCE desktop. My pI4 8gig is in a Argon m.2 case with a 1TB NVME drive. It is used as a media server, and piHole.. The other one is a 4gig model and it has a 128gig NVME drive on it and that is offsite at another location, it is used as a backup for the Image BBS NISSA Network Hubs that I run. If I lose power at my home, or if I go away on vacation I can turn this on copy the Hub HD's to it and the Hubs stay alive while everything else is off.. For a little 2x4 mine computer it works great, last time I went on vacation I dropped it off at my son's house, forwarded my FQDN to his IP and was the network stayed running.

What I didn't mention is the HD's for the Hubs are backed up every 1/2 hour to my google drive so copying the HD's off the Google drive to the Hubs takes all of about 2 minutes..

Synchronet's IRC network has over 90 servers connected. It's not going anywhere. Some BBS's have been connected forever.

I use my rpi for Home Assistant. It does pretty well. It's actually a
clone and is able to handle my security cameras, and a bunch of other
    stuff.

I have that IRC as an option over here at Reign of Fire using
