Experience description:

I was at the end of a breathing meditation on a Yoga Teacher training course in India and when I lay down to rest in Savasana, my breath spontaneously stopped.

After a little while my chest felt like it broke open and I was in another realm.. I could see but not with eyes, I could hear but with no ears etc. There was dark and light at the same time. I was with the creator and held very lovingly. Love was the key emotion or reality.

It was a very expansive experience and I knew everything with all the knowledge coming to me without trying. I did not have any idea about who I was in the physical world at all. It was peaceful and extremely blissful. I'm not sure how long I was there, maybe 10 minutes.

Everyone was sitting up when I came back.

I came back knowing that we never die - so we should live to the fullest with no fear.

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes It almost felt cosmic .. Extreme light but also Dark I felt like I was the light

I couldn't see anyone, I could feel someone - godlike/extremely nurturing

I came back knowing that we are all one and so much more about who we are. When someone talks to me, I know what they are going through and how to answer them. Not from my brain but from my intuition

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life ("life after death")? Yes You just know - the first thing I said
when I came back to my body was 'why are people so afraid to die, there is no death'

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist? Yes I was with a higher being. The message or awareness that I got was 'I am God' but, the higher being was the absolute creator. This was very exciting because I know that I am the creator and create with the higher God/universe/source

What occurred during your experience included: Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience Before having this experience, I didn't know this existed. When I came back, I had no idea what had happened. Nothing can prepare you for this .. It also takes time to integrate

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience I can recall it like it happened yesterday and as if it's happening in the now.

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience: Fear of death disappears and an unexplainable wisdom is with me always

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes I shared it with my husband straight away, with my mom and sister when I returned from India and with my Yoga students only 6 years later.
