You could give it to me <G>. I've always wanted a 2600 but they're hard to find and I'm skiddish about old tech anyway. The Behringer is on my watch list but it has to take a back seat for now.
Sure, I'll give it to you for a price :) There's one for sale locally in the FarceBook market place for $400. Maybe you can work them a deal, it's been up for a while.
I hate to be cliche, but check out YT. I've watched a number of videos on both the original and Behringer versions and they could be useful. Also, I recommend the book, Welsh's Synthesizer Cookbook by Fred Welsh. It's a book of patches that'll work with any analog synth. They're not fancy, but should be enough to get your creative juices flowing. And don't be afraid to experiment. Half the fun of synths is just messing around and see what you come up with.
I'll see if they have that book at the library or if they can get hold of it. Youtube is interesting but they make a lot of assumptions, like you know what they're talking about :)
I should probably check the Behringer website for a manual, this didn't come with one. I guess they don't print manuals any more to save costs and the trees, which is probably a good thing in case of my Korg Kronsos which has 2 manuals that run about 1000 pages each.
The other half of messing is venting the smoke when you plug a cable into the wrong hole :) That said, I'm sure they're made not to do that these days.
