Does anyone enjoy playing Acoustic guitar? I had to sell my Martin to
make a car payment. I really miss that guitar. My Son has 5 guitars and
is looking for another. He has all the pedals and doo wacka doos. I'll take playing the good ol Acoustic guitar over all that crap. There's nothing like the sound of an Acoustic Guitar.
i always like not having to plug in. if i need volume though i dont
mind using an electric, using acoustic on stage with sound reinforcement can be tricky. you'll find an acoustic with me whenever it'll do the
job which is most of the time im chilli n
too. Sometimes it's just good to have that sound. I had a Martin but sold it a few years ago when I was unemployed and needed the money for something; I eventually bought another acoustic, but ended up choosing a
It's nice not having to plug in; but on the flipside, if I want to play without annoying anyone else around me, it's probably better to use an electric plugged into a device that lets you use headphones. An electric
vehicle I had to make payment on. When I go to the local guitar center I always finish with a Martin. It's amazing how you can "plug in" a Martin and produce a a clean acoustic sound with no feed back. I've never found another guitar builder that can even come close. I get a kick out of the sales guy. He must think he's gonna make a sale by the look on my face. "Sorry, not today but thanks for letting me play". ;-)
:) Sometimes I feel bad for doing that, but sometimes you just have to play one. I've never seen a musical instrument salesperson get mad about that anyway.. Even if you are in the market for one, sometimes it can take a while to find the one that suits you best.
Yea, I feel bad about it too. That's one of the reasons I stopped doing it. I also gave up the idea there was something out there for less money with the same sound and feel as a Martin. It's not going to happen. I
recently saw a documentary on PBS on Martin quitars. With the way they are made it's impossible to duplicate them for less. The guitars are all hand made.
