    Hi all,

Has anyone been to any good concerts recently that you really enjoyed?

The last concert I saw was Mark Knopfler in 2015 (for his 'Tracker' tour). I really enjoyed it.

Yes. I also saw Mark Knopfler. He was in Dallas on the Tracker tour. I had 3rd row seats and got some pics of me right up against the stage. I've been a Dire Straits fan since I was given a copy of Alchemy Live.

The last concert I went to was Jean Michel Jarre at Radio City Music Hall in New York. That was an amazing show even if a lot of the tracks are pre-sequenced or standard backing tracks.

Nice, sounds like you had a good seat.

Had great seats. I was 4th row orchestra pit for Jarre which is a blessing and not because I didn't get to see the 3d effects in action. If he comes through the US again I'll sit further back. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, probably, and I got to meet the man himself before and after the show so it was well worth it.

Over here (europe) I went to see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds which was in my hometown and it was a very, very great show. Perfect sound and Mr. Cave walked through the audience to step upon a platform on the left side of the venue, surrounded by fans and showing some "MC" qualities I'd never expected from him.

Second on the list is german rock band Dritte Wahl (if you like loud and heavy rock music, give 'em a try, I'd recommend the track "fliegen" (flying)) who I have seem many, many times since my wife is friends with the band ever since. So we had a nice show and got to do some headbanging now and then.

I'm looking forward to see Electric Six live for the first time I went across those guys in '99. Will happen in february next year.

I see you're using a bbsindex.com address, and I was curious if you've had any problems with browsers rejecting that address? I also have a bbsindex.com address for mine, but I've noticed when I try to load it in a browser, Google Chrome was giving warnings that it's a blocked domain due to reported malware.

Well, I'm not running any webservices on that one, so I never tested it. But I can try to check it out tomorrow by simply enabling that webserver thingy sbbs offers.

    Hi Nightfox,
I set up the sbbs webserver last night and did some testing from home, office and a wifi hotspot somwhere on the road. In none of these cases did I get a warning regarding reported malware. I've tested Chrome release 62.0.3202.94 on Windows as well as the latest Chromium binary on Linux Mint.

    Interesting.. Perhaps they've updated Chrome.

I'll be seeing Jean Michel Jarre again. 9th April in Dallas and then
front row seats middle section stage left (where the stairs are he uses)
in Houston on 10th. Should be a good couple of days.

That's cool. I haven't heard much of his stuff, but I liked what of his I listened to.

The concerts were excellent. Houston was special because the McNair family
were there. Ron McNair was on the Space Shuttle Challenger when it exploded.
He was a friend of JMJ and was supposed to play the saxophone from space.

Also ended up going to see his last concert in San Jose later that year.

By now I was supposed to have seen Adam and and Squeeze/Godley & Creme but
both have been postponed. A-ha is still on for September though and Lost
80's Live comes around in August, I hope, which is always a fun event.
Last year 15 bands of the 80's did 2-3 songs each, including A Flock
of Seagulls, The Motels, The Tubes, Missing Persons, Boys Don't Cry,
Wang Chung, and a special set by Thomas Dolby. It was an honor to meet
him after the show and get a couple of albums signed.
