I have an issue. I was considering setting up another BBS Running Renegade BBS but having a heck of a time trying to setup Net2BBS to work correctly. It connects to telnet but then disconnects. Can't get renegade to work correctly.. anyone have any suggestions? What do you use for telnet server daemon to work with Renegade?

If you are having issues with net2bbs, always try TelSRV, GameSRV, or even use SVDM (forget exact name) from Synchronet to run it one node at a time. There is also Zoob's telnet server as well. Plenty of options.


Most if not all of these should be on this BBS here to grab if you cannot find them.

I was able to get net2bbs to work but renegade takes forever to connect when i do I test telnet connection.

You have some setting wrong in net2bbs.ini then ... disable all things like lookup and such.

It takes less than a second here.

Don't mean to hijack this conversation, but with how slow BBS's are now a days. You could use something like dosbox with the serial settings and just port forward to your machine from your firewall.
