I know many SBBS sysops run on Linux, just wanted to raise my hand as one, been running on Slackware Linux for 5+ years now.

Interested in what other distros are commonly used for running BBSes on!

I ran SBBS on Debian 12. Debian works great for a stable server. Ubuntu is ok, but they are bloating it much like Red Hat.

I'm running on Rocky Linux 9.4 I considered Ubuntu, but I support Redhat at work.
We haven't rolled out 9.4 to our customers yet, so figured this could give me a test bed to learn/test things outside of work as we get ready for 9.4 in our production
environment.
