    Walk 10,000 steps every day.

Track your protein intake. Make sure you are consuming some protein with every single
    meal.

Focus on portion sizes. Try to have a balanced diet, with enough protein, carbs, and
fiber. Add seasonal fruits and vegetables to your diet.

    Drink water. Often.

Get enough sleep. 7˙8 hours should be non-negotiable. That˙s when your body goes
    through restoration.

Move your body. Avoid sitting still for more than an hour. Get up. Move.

Try to do some exercises at least 2˙3 times a week. Watch any home workout YouTube
    videos for help.

Try taking the stairs every chance you get.

Avoid sugar. Switch to other alternatives like honey or dates.

Don˙t starve yourself. If you want to eat your favorite food once in a while, do it without
guilt. But track your eating habits and make sure you are not treating yourself too often
    either.

    Mike,

    Walk 10,000 steps every day.

I feel like I do that between the bathroom and elsewhere in the
    house every day. <G>

Track your protein intake. Make sure you are consuming some
    protein with every single meal.

A great source of protein is tuna. I've been eating the Starkist
Tuna Salad pouches. They have several varieties, including Deli
Style, Bacon Ranch, Hickory Smoke, Honey Barbecue (my favorite),
Herb N Garlic, and Lemon Pepper. There are also "hotter" varieties,
which would likely burn my mouth and digestive tract...so, I stay
    away from them.

I usually have them with wheat bread, and Kraft sweet honey
    barbecue sauce.

Focus on portion sizes. Try to have a balanced diet, with
enough protein, carbs, and fiber. Add seasonal fruits and
    vegetables to your diet.

I've switched to the Hormel Compleats, as the portions aren't
that large, but they are satisfyingly enough. I can microwave
them in 90 seconds, and it makes a nice quick meal.

    Drink water. Often.

Seriously, I mix up a powdered drink mix, that is sugar free,
and low calorie...as just plain water is too bland for me. But,
I can drink a half gallon of that a day. Each pouch makes up 2
    quarts of beverage.

Get enough sleep. 7-8 hours should be non-negotiable. That's
when your body goes through restoration.

The only time I get good sleep is when I'm sedated. I have
crazy dreams, or nocturia that interrupt me...although I was
only up once during the night.

Move your body. Avoid sitting still for more than an hour. Get
    up. Move.

I've been sitting at the computer too long, but once the Lasix
kicks in, I'll do a lot more moving. My late wife quipped to me
that "I need to move your computer, BBS, and ham radio stuff to
the orifice (the bathroom), as you spend so much time in here". <G>

Try to do some exercises at least 2-3 times a week. Watch any
home workout YouTube videos for help.

I thought lifting the food from the plate to the mouth was work.
    That's how I watch what I eat. <G>

Try taking the stairs every chance you get.

I have to be careful on stairs.

Avoid sugar. Switch to other alternatives like honey or dates.

"A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down" (Mary Poppins).
I used to have cinnamon toast growing up, with cinnamon mixed with
sugar, and put it on buttered bread, that I'd put in a toaster oven.
I haven't had that since before my Mom passed away over 6 years ago.

Don't starve yourself. If you want to eat your favorite food
once in a while, do it without guilt. But track your eating
habits and make sure you are not treating yourself too often
    either.

I find I'm switching around, as eating the same thing can get
boring and monotonous. I like to splurge off of DoorDash once a
month, but can't afford more than that.

I'm going to change the name of the bathroom (the John) to "the gym",
so I can say that "I went to the gym every morning". <G>

What you need to watch out for is dihydrogen monoxide. It's the main component of acid rain. It's the main cause of drowning. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of dihydrogen monoxide ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting, and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who become dependent, dihydrogen monoxide withdrawal means certain death.
