The blood pressure (BP) differs between the right and left arms. Insurance companies do
not specify which arm to take the BP .

Lower than stated normal BP in otherwise healthy people is considered a medical
condition to be treated. No person has had to undergo further testing for low BP by
    insurance companies.

B P. measured by medical professionals is more accurate. I used to believe this when
thirty years ago, insurance companies refused to accept BP readings from electronic
devices. However, nowadays, even hospital use it routinely. I still use a manual to
confirm abnormal readings out of habit.

All high BP can be treated by diet and lifestyle changes alone. Some imagine it works
and don't take medications. I had a few patients who went into end organ damage
    before they accepted medications.

Some BP medicines cause kidney damage. It started with the introduction of a group of
BP drugs that could improve kidney function. Patients, having been told that, erroneously believe others cause harm to kidneys.
