• What are the symptoms of throat cancer and mouth cancer?

The first symptom of throat cancer is usually a hoarse voice. This can happen with a
very small cancer on the vocal cords.

The first symptom of a cancer inside the mouth is usually a painless lump or ulcer that
    keeps getting bigger.

    It may also bleed.
Depending on where it is in the mouth it may be associated with earache. If it has
started to spread to the local lymph nodes there may also be a lump on one side of the
    neck.

Large cancers involving the throat can obstruct the airway.
Usually this happens gradually so you may experience noisy breathing or a cough.
Cancers can also interfere with swallowing.

Unfortunately, mouth and throat cancers can be quite tricky when they first appear
because they are usually rather subtle in their early manifestations.

What this means is that there is little room for people to detect and diagnose throat
cancer. For example, symptoms of this disease include such phenomena as a lingering
sore throat, hoarseness of the voice without any apparent cause, difficulty in swallowing
either solid food items or your own saliva, sensation of having something caught in your
throat, pain in the ear irrelevant to any ear-related problems, lump formations on the
neck, unexpected weight loss despite the lack of efforts toward it, and a persistent
cough that can produce blood from time to time. Even if none of these symptoms seems
alarming by themselves, if several of them appear at once or persist for more than three
weeks, chances are, your body is trying to tell you something.

But mouth cancer follows a slightly less complicated path, meaning that its early
warning signs are easier to detect and diagnose properly if the person in question pays
    close attention.

Some of the signs include mouth sores or ulcers that don't seem to heal,
white or reddened areas in the mouth, especially within the inner surfaces of the cheeks,
unexplained bleeding in the mouth, loose teeth with no dental issues, numbness of the
lips or tongue, difficulty and pain when swallowing, jaw movement difficulties,
unexplained bad breath and lumps in the mouth and jaw area.

The following is likely to be the aspect people are most negligent about, but it was also
something that l neglected for decades ÿ what people put into their mouths on a regular
basis is much more impactful than they can imagine when it comes to increasing or
decreasing the risk. Tobacco usage, alcohol consumption and unhealthy, processed diets
make up the top three risk factors, while healthy food consumption helps bolster the
body's immune system in the face of such diseases.
