    BENIGN - Not cancerous

    PROSTATE - A gland seen in men which helps in nourishment of sperm with its secretions. It's located besides the urine passage tube called as urethra

    HYPERPLASIA - Increased in number of cells / Proliferation

    BPH - It's a very very common non cancerous disease seen in elderly men.

    Usually men mistakes it for any cancer and they worry a lot.

    So based on its location when this increases in size it compresses urethra.

    Common Risk factors - Obesity, Diabetes , family history

    Symptoms are

    Sensation of urine even after urinating
    Increased frequency of urination
    Needs to urinate alot during night times
    Poor stream of urine
    Difficulty in starting urination even after feeling the urgency
    Painful urination - relatively less common

    BPH - It's a very very common non cancerous disease seen in
    elderly men.

    The Canadian comedy group, Bowser and Blue, did 3 hilarous videos
    on YouTube...that all males can relate to.

    1) Praise The Colorectal Surgeon (women as well)
    2) My Vasectomy (males only)
    3) Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (males only)

    They are an absolute scream...and I can relate to all 3. <G>
