    Is wine better than the hard stuff?

    Alcohol is alcohol. Dilution does not matter, only the amount of alcohol consumed,
    particularly the peak amount of alcohol that you put into your system.

    Never drink yourself to intoxication. When you start feeling the effects of alcohol, stop. If
    you have a problem doing that, you may need to reconsider consuming any alcohol at
    all.

    Always eat some food along with the alcohol that you consume.

    Minimize your consumption of fructose. That includes table sugar, HFCS sweetened
    sodas, "fruit juice", etc. Fructose can damage your liver on its own by a mechanism that
    is very similar to alcohol (formation of aldehydes), and it will multiply the problem
    potential.

    Don˙t drink "grain neutral spirits"; alcohol products with no flavors of their own. Alcohol
    acts as a solvent carrier for many flavoring and coloring compounds that are not soluble
    in water on their own. Use the presence of alcohol for this purpose.

    Never use alcohol to self-medicate, such as for a muscle relaxant or sleep aid. There are
    safer and more effective medications for these purposes.

    My doctor is really happy with me. I drink 2 corona premiere's with salt and lime every other day. They're ultra-light Cornona if you're not familiar
    with them. They're delicious! Not nearly as skunky as Corona. I enjoy the mild buzz, and it helps me sleep that evening. It's fun and I look forward
    to it every other day. I don't have any problem moderating my alcohol
    intake.

    I'll have to give this a try. Normally I don't like Corona, though my partner does, without lime.pppphhhhh
