Cherries have natural melatonin, which is why they show up in sleep conversations so
often. A small handful is usually enough.
Kiwi is my personal favorite for this. Two of them about an hour before bed and I tend to
fall asleep faster. Not sure exactly why, but it works for me.
Bananas are good if you want something more filling. The magnesium helps with muscle
relaxation and they're gentle on the stomach.
Avoid anything too juicy like watermelon (bathroom trips) or citrus if your stomach is
sensitive. And if you have acid reflux, just skip any fruit before bed altogether, you'll
probably wake up feeling pretty rough the next morning.
And the most important, keep the portion small and you should be fine.
