• Are mangoes harmful to health?

From Mike Dippel@999:1/1 to All on Wed Oct 8 10:04:54 2025
Mango is known as the "King of Tropical Fruits" and its nutritional value is extremely
    rich.

The nutrition of mangoes is balanced and comprehensive. Mangoes are rich in sugar,
protein, crude fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, carotene, mangiferin, and minerals such as
selenium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and iron.

Eating mango can supplement the body's essential nutrients and is very beneficial to
health. But you can't eat more mangoes, just eat one mango every day.

You can also use ripe mangoes to make mango salsa and mango smoothie, they are delicious.

Ripe mangoes are very sweet and have a high sugar content.

A medium-sized mango weighs about 150 grams and contains about 25 grams of sugar.

The World Health Organization recommends 25 grams of sugar per person per day, with
    a maximum of 50 grams.

If you eat 4 to 6 mangoes a day, you will consume a lot of sugar.

Too much sugar is easily converted into fat in the body, leading to obesity, and obesity is
a potential cause of cardiovascular disease.

Many experts pointed out that long-term consumption of high-sugar fruits will cause
excessive insulin secretion, disorder of carbohydrate and fat metabolism, which will lead
to a variety of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,
diabetes, obesity, fatty liver, high blood sugar, dental caries and so on.

    Mike,

Mango is known as the "King of Tropical Fruits" and its
    nutritional value is extremely rich.

My late brother could eat the mangoes, but he could not touch
the outer skin...otherwise, he'd break out into a severe rash.

One of the ICE drinks flavors is my favorite...mango orange.
However, I try to stay away from the carbonated beverages, as
they tend to give me kidney stones.

Now, if I have carbonated beverages just 1 day a week, it
should not hurt me too bad.
