The Story...
Today is a day named for the Reverend William Spooner (born in London)
whose frequent slips of the tongue led to coinage of the term that became
to be spoonerisms. His most famous slips; "Blushing crow" (for crushing
blow), "Tons of soil" (for sons of toil), and "Half warmed fish" (for
half-formed wish).
