• Future Storm

Just 9 days after Helene brought major wind and rain to our area, we are now looking at
Milton which is definitely going to impact our area. We are 30 miles north of Sarasota,
where it currently is set to make landfall.

We personally lucked out with the last hurricane: no damage and no loss of power. Not
so sure we will be as lucky this time. The worst thing that could happen is for it to hit
an area that was devasted in the last storm.

Obviously, if we do lose power, it will shut down HobbyNet, although this is by no means
    my worst concern.

We have plenty of provisions, including any necessary meds. We are as ready as we can
be, and pray we are spared. Wish us luck.

I pray it misses you all. And I hope it decreases in strength so it doesn't do as much damage, for any that are affected.

I have a work peer in Western NC, fortunately he did not receive damage. But is stuck and hasn't been able to work for a week. He has been helping his neighbors, etc.

Praying these storms will die down, and not cause as much impact as speculated.

Glad you are prepared, especially with meds. I think that is something impacting the older folks in western nc. Nobody expected the destruction and isolation it has caused :-(

    Best of Luck
